Nothing is true

"You can have my gun when you pry it from the cold, dead hand...

...of my child."

There is NO right to bear arms, capice?

One thing you'll find is that gun proponents have never checked with the legal experts on the right-to-bear-arms thing.  They are intellectual cowards who could never stand to face the truth.

It takes about five minutes on the web to find out the legal experts agree there is no right to bear arms. So what's your problem, gun guys?

Soldiers need guns; cops need guns. No one else should have any guns. It's as simple as that.

Most gun-rights advocates are angry white guys with low IQ's.  Just callin' 'em as I see 'em, folks.  Anyway, these guys have some sort of profound psychological addiction to their guns.  Their talk about defending freedom & protecting the home is pure rationalization.  They're like alcoholics or junkies who are pretending their personal weaknesses have something to do with the Constitution.

Yea, right, gun guys!
Yea, right, gun guys!

So we needn't take any pro-gun "arguments" too seriously, as they were made up to justify a craven addiction to guns--some kind of angry-white-guy problem I guess...

But since we're here, let's quickly dispose of the two major, lame-assed arguments in favor of private gun ownership:

The first lame-assed argument is that guns protect our freedom.  Unfortunately,

Guns are of no use in protecting our freedom.

The gun guys admit this without knowing it when they say "the first thing a dictator does when he takes over a country is confiscate all the guns."

If they confiscate the guns after they took over, the guns obviously didn't prevent the takeover.  So much for that argument.

Face it: your gun is a joke against modern military forces.  The most you could do is tick them off & get your whole family killed.

America has recently lost its freedom, & the gun guys didn't help.

The second lame-assed argument for gun ownership is home safety, but

Guns kept in the house are almost invariably used for murder or suicide.

Just about the only "righteous" use of guns in protecting homes occurs in the gun guys's imaginations.

The stats are in on this, but the gun proponents just deny them.  They even go out & get their own bogus stats, to make these murderous instruments look good.

Here's the truth a few angry white guys can't face:

From 1994-1998, 5 children were killed every day in gun related accidents and suicides committed with a firearm.

A classroom is emptied every two days in America by gunfire.

In 1998, 3,792 American children and teens (19 and under) died by gunfire in murders, suicides
and unintentional shootings. That's more than 10 young people a day.

More Americans were killed with guns in the 18-year period between 1979 and 1997 (651,697),
than were killed in battle in all wars since 1775 (650,858).

85% of Americans want mandatory handgun registration.

88% of the US population and 80% of US gun owners support childproofing all new handguns.

Guns triple the chances that someone in the house will be killed.  So much for home protection, right?

The gun guys are just warrior wannabees, pretending we're still in the 18th century.  Modern guns are for professionals.

Here's an idea: If someone breaks into your house, you call the cops.

How's that for a plan?
